Ram Charan plays a role of IPS officer who’s main aim is to destroy the crime in Hyderabad city. He wants to know people who are behind the scenes for committing major crimes and catch them. In the process of finding out them, he will come to know that Aravind Swamy is the one behind the crime. Rest of the story is how he will be able to knock him down and close his illegal business.

Plus Points:

Charan is the main asset for this film. He worked out hard for six pack and one can see the result of it on the screen. His screen presence is terrific. And regarding the performance, this will be the best in his career. The way he dominated the screen is simply amazing.

The same guy who played the villain role in Tamil, Arvind Swamy acted in the telugu version as well. You will get to know the reason why the makers of this movie opted for Arvind Swamy for this role. His role is the which elevates the tempo of the film. Even Hema Chandra should be credited for the success as he was one who did dubbing for Arvind Swamy.

Coming to the director, he didn’t do any major changes to the story line. Surender Reddy directed it in his own style. The mind games shown in the movie were brilliantly handled by him. Even the screenplay is gripping which will make you stick to the film. Rakul Preet is as usual gorgeous. Though her role was limited by an extent, her glamour quotient is an added advantage. Navdeep justified the role given to him.

Minus Points:

The romantic track between Ram charan and Rakul Preet is not good enough.Rakul Preet have nothing to offer except for the songs. Some of scenes look a bit illogical. Editing should have been a bit better as there are few unnecessary scenes in the movie. Mass audience will be disappointed as there are no elements to entertain them in this movie.

Technical Aspects:

Geetha Arts spent some huge amount of money on this film to make the film look very lavish. Each and every frame looks quite rich. The way Ram Charan and Arvind Swamy were showed in this movie is top notch. Camera man did an amazing job there. Music by Hip Hop Tamizha is good and he scored excellent background music which takes the film on whole new level. Screenplay is very gripping and editing could have been better.

After a series of average films, Charan did a strong comeback with Dhruva. Though this movie is a remake, director and team did a fantastic job to appeal for Telugu audience. Racy screenplay and few twists are huge plus points for this film. Watch it out for the mind games and acting of Ram Charan and Arvind Swamy.

Filmiplex Rating: 3.25/5
